About the Nazca Lines
The Nazca Lines are a group of enormous geoglyphs, which are patterns or motifs carved into the earth, that are situated in the coastal plain of Peru, about 250 miles (400 kilometers) south of Lima. The 2,000-year-old Nazca Lines, which were drawn by the ancient Nazca culture in South America and depict a variety of plants, animals, and shapes, can only be fully appreciated from the air due to their enormous size.
The geoglyphs, which were recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1994, have been researched for more than 80 years, but they continue to elude scientists. In each of our Nazca Lines Tours, we will transport you to the past and do our best to provide you wonderful memories of Nazca.

What Clients Say About Our Nazca Lines Tours
“Professional approach to the client. Very good contact. I booked two tours with this tour operator – a Nazca flight and a trip to Chauchilla Cemetery. I am very happy with both. Also they picked me up at the bus station, took me to the hotel. And on the last day they provided transport to the station. I recommend the most !!! You will not regret it for sure. Thank you Raul for the entire organization. See you next time!“
“Booked a nazca and palpa lines land tour with Raul last week as the flight tour was not available that day. The tour guide-Julio picked me up promptly and took me to serval lookouts and the museum. He was nice, kind and patient. The geoglyphs were amazing and the whole trip was pleasant though the main mirador for nazca lines was closed due to political reason. We were able to see the big feline at hillside that was discovered not long ago as well.!”
“I did the flight over the Nazca Lines and the tour to Cahuachi Pyramids through Nazca trips.
Both were an amazing experience, well organized since the first contact. Raul was waiting for me at bus station and brought me to this wonderful places. He has alot of knowledge about Nazca Civilization and loves sharing deep history. I recommend % 1000 do the Flight and the tour with this travel agency.“
“Very good service with the guide Raul. He was very attentive and helped me with everything I needed. He knows a lot about history, not only about Nasca. The place is already sensational and with Raul’s explanations, the tour becomes amazing. And you can ask a lot of questions because he knows a lot and likes when we ask questions.”

Why go on a tour of Nazca Lines?
Between 400 and 650 AD, 300 ancient geoglyphs were created, and among them are five that stand out: the hummingbird, the monkey, the hands, and the astronaut. The Nazca Lines, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that has been called “the most remarkable series of geoglyphs anywhere in the world,” span an incredible 1000 square kilometers.
No one really knows why the Nazca people created the geoglyphs, some speculate that it had anything to do with astronomy or that it was a mechanism for the tribe to communicate with its gods in the heavens. A beautiful flight is the greatest way to observe and comprehend the Nazca Lines immense size.

How to Get to Nazca Lines
It takes around 6 hours to drive over the Ica Desert from Nazca to the city. Unfortunately, there are no trains or aircraft that go to Nazca, so the only way to get to the incredible geoglyphs is via bus. The renowned city is accessible to travelers because to the several daily bus routes that pass through it.
How to Get to Nazca Lines From Lima
The well-known Pan-American Highway is followed along the country’s coastline on the bus route that departs from the capital and travels to the city of Nazca.
The coastal town of Paracas and Huacachina, the only unspoiled desert oasis in the Americas, are popular destinations for service providers to take a break. Since it could take up to 7 hours to travel directly from Lima to Nazca, stopping at a few scenic locations along the way might be a great way to break up the trip.
How to Get to Nazca Lines From Cusco
Another option is to take a direct bus from Cusco to Nazca. Nazca is actually a frequent bus stop between Cusco and Lima because it shortens the otherwise daylong trip. The majority of buses traveling from Cusco to Lima make a stop in Nazca, including those operated by Cruz del Sur, which has two daily departures.
Although many of the departures are overnight, a bus will be making the trip once every hour. The route to Nazca and Lima from Arequipa, as per the previous option, is preferred by many travelers because it is better than the road from Cusco to Arequipa (and from there onto Nazca and Lima).
How to Get to Nazca Lines From Arequipa
Due to its central location between Arequipa and Lima, Nazca can be easily added to a return trip to the city. On the excellent Carretera Panamericana Sur, private transfers are possible, though they can be pricey given the distance.
The bus ride takes between ten and twelve hours, depending on the operator. Upscale companies like Cruz del Sur use better buses, which shortens the journey and significantly improves comfort. Cruz del Sur departs twice during the day and twice at night from Arequipa’s main bus station each day.
